Hike: TST to Stanley via Happy Valley & Wong Nai Chung Gap (Dec. 16, 2012)

Hike from Regal Kowloon hotel in TST East to Star Ferry to Wan Chai, then walk through Happy Valley up to Blue Pool Rd., Wong Nai Chung Gap and then along the catchwater trails past Deepwater Bay and Repulse Bay, ending at Stanley Gap.  Total hike time was approx. 3 hours.

Evening Hike: TST East to The Peak and back (Dec. 15, 2012)

Start/end at Regal Kowloon Hotel. Used Star Ferry to get across to HK Island.  Then straight up Old Peak Rd. to The Peak.

HK Hike: Stanley to Happy Valley (Dec. 9, 2012)

Hike started at Stanley Market, then to Tai Tam and up to the catchwater, then over to Tai Tam Reservoir.  Then on up to Parkview and through Wong Nai Chung Gap and down into Happy Valley.  I caught the tramway from there and then a tunnel bus back to TST.

I had to take a photo of this guys little computer shop in Sheung Wan.  He just has room for one chair for him to sit on.  Any customers have to stand in the entry.  The rest of the shop is just piled high with boxes and whatever...

HK Hike: Quarry Bay to Stanley Gap Rd. via Mt. Butler & Wilson Trail (Nov. 4, 2012)

Start at TST East (Regal Kowloon Hotel).  Took 106 bus to Sunway Gardens stop, which is a short distance to the base of Mt. Parker Rd.
Hike up Mt. Parker Rd. and then on up to Mt. Butler, Jardine's Lookout, HK Parkview - then hike Wilson Trail Section 1 (Violet Hill and The Twins), ending at Stanley Gap Rd.
Total hike time: 3-1/2 hrs. (10 min. stop at Parkview to buy liquids)
(Time from Tsin Shui Wan Au, at Repluse Bay, up over "The Twins" to Stanley Gap Road was 44 min.)
